Love the architecture and and the ice/snow effect you've managed to create! The shading is also particularly impressive, and is that a ramp for supercharging along I see?

Thanks! :D The architecture was inspired by Angkor Wat, just reduced to a more PSOne-esque level of detail. Could be;)

Nice haha! :D How long does it take you to put together something like this? Do you map out the area first or start drawing scenery and include platforming sections as you go?

My approach varies; for this one I first made a crude top-down map, then modelled a blocky sketch in blender and painted on top of it. For Celestial Woods I just went straight to painting, trying to express a vague mental image, incorporating a natural level structure as best I could. I think I spend at least 5 hours(heavily distracted by the internet) working on them, sometimes less, often more.
